The department affords many opportunities to guide the development of AASD students, from the intensive internship experiences under faculty guidance to sharing professional or career-oriented experiences. Indeed, the high level of faculty and staff interaction with students is a trademark of AASD that reflects in everything from mandatory advising, to classroom instruction, to thesis advising, and to student access to faculty members.
