Ayo Handy-Kendi, also known as the Breath Sekou, is a certified breathologist who has used Optimum Life Breathology (O.L.B.) to help and heal people’s experiences with varied adversities, including physical and sexual abuse.

Handy-Kendi, Founder and Director of the African American Holiday Association, is most recognized for being the Founder of Black Love Day, which is a holiday celebrated on February 13th that provides a spiritual alternative to Valentines Day. Founded in 1993, the holiday serves as a 24-hour celebration of Black love and racial healing towards the creator, the self, the family, the Black community, and the Black race. BLD follows the Nguzo Saba principles of love and unity with the Black diaspora and practiced in rituals and ceremonies.

Handy-Kendi is also a sound healer, stress manager, community organizer, storyteller, and CEO of PositivEnergyWorks LLC which is a breathwork wellness service that led her to practice with billions of people online, on TV, at stages, and in private practices.
