The Bowie State University and University of Maryland Social Justice Alliance, in collaboration with the BSOS Summer Research Initiative (SRI), seeks rising juniors and seniors to participate in an 8-week research internship.

SJA summer scholars will engage in research and projects that intersect with social justice in order to address critical issues facing campuses, communities, the state of Maryland, the nation and beyond. Program dates are June 5 through July 28, 2023 with a required pre-program orientation. Participants will live in university housing with other scholars, participate in professional development workshops seminars, and prepare for a culminating research poster session. Scholars will earn a $3,000 stipend for the summer and group dinners as well as a meal allowance will be provided. Learn more about the Social Justice Alliance Summer Research Initiative.
