THE JOHN B. SLAUGHTER ENDOWMENT REPARATIONS SERIES & PARREN J. MITCHELL SYMPOSIUM SERIES

This panel continues our year-long discussion of reparations by shifting the focus to why and how reparations should and can be paid to the descendants of enslaved Africans in the US. Panelists will discuss topics including the racial wealth gap and racial disparities in education and economic outcomes, among other issues. The urgency of this discussion of reparations is reinforced by the advocacy of Black Lives Matter, other racial justice organizations, and the global movement for racial and economic justice.
